Blue Dragon Taekwon-Do celebrated its 20th birthday on Saturday 12th April 2025 with a Masterclass seminar conducted by Ireland’s Master Shane Fitzgibbon VIII Degree from Connacht Taekwon-Do followed by a Black Belt Grading and of course a party with belt and award presentations.
The first session saw students and instructors ranging from white belt right up to 6th degree black belts from BDTKD’s main schools at Cuddington and Weaverham joined with our satellite clubs TKD Titans and Merseyside TKD, along with senior grades from Preston TKD. This was followed by a session for 1st Kup and Black Belts.
Master Fitzgibbon covered numerous topics during the day including fundamental movements, step sparring drills, self defence as well as practical applications, giving corrections as he went.
In total 5 candidates tested for degree grades and were successfully promoted as follows:
- Mr Evert Pieterse promoted to 2nd Degree
- Mr Connor Fearon promoted to 2nd Degree
- Mr Jackson Bolton-Walker promoted to 2nd Degree
- Mrs Sally Turner promoted to 1st Degree
- Mr Reuben Baxter promoted to 1st Degree
