At the end of a very long and tiring Sunday 27th February 2011, 2 out of the 4 competing members of Team Blue Dragon, came home with Bronze Medals.
Winning the prizes were BDTKD instructor Mr Walkinshaw, shown above in the patterns semi-final against eventual Gold medallist Mr Sam Brown in a repeat of the 2010 final, and “Iron Man” Andrew Cooper, winning his 3rd Bronze medal in 2 competitions.
Also competing but desperately unlucky on the day were BDTD’s youngest Black Belt Miss Lyndsay Walkinshaw, who ended the day in A&E at the university of Cardiff Hospital following the destruction section, with a suspected fractured hand, and the valiantly unlucky Emily Oakes who had the unfortunate draw to fight her arch nemesis, and the only person ever to defeat her in competition in the first round.
